Classy Hobby was established in late 2015 by an experienced plastic model company executive. Based in Hong Kong, it has access to well-established production facilities on the Peoples Republic of China mainland. For research purposes, it has established a panel of experts in different parts of the world to provide information on specific subjects ensuring that its offerings are as accurate as possible . Its aim is to provide highly detailed plastic model kits, in a range of scales, and reflecting a range of subjects. It will however primarily concentrate on military subjects in the 1/16th and 1/35th scales, particularly during the formative years of the company.
